Overview

After you figure out how to say this major, you’ll probably want to know what it is, so you’ll go off running towards the nearest Kinesiology department, where they, in turn, will want to know how you ran, why you ran, and how you felt while running. This will constitute your introduction to Kinesiology.

How does the human body move, and why does it move the way it does? What happens when our bodies are in motion? How do they respond to exercise? And how can we use it to help heal ourselves after sustaining an injury? Kinesiology answers, or tries to answer, these questions in an attempt to help us better understand how our bodies function.

A combination of physiology and health science, the Kinesiology major will help prepare you to make the world a healthier and safer place.
